The PJs (Pararescuemen) are assigned to the Air Force Special
Operations Command (AFSOC) for combat search and rescue missions.
The PJs along with the Combat Controllers make up the USAF’s elite
Special Tactics Squadron. The PJ’s job is to locate the downed

him to escape to a safe recovery site.
2. KSK Crisis Reaction Force
Germany’s version of the SAS, the Kommando Spezialkräfte is not
only an anti-terrorist force but more accurately a unit of the
German armed forces to deal with special situations. Unlike the

worldwide, even on hostile soil.
3. Tel Aviv Bomb Squad
Terrorism has always been a day-to-day existence in the Middle
East, and the Tel Aviv Bomb Squad is the busiest bomb disposal unit
in the world. The EOD teams often respond to as many as ten calls
in an eight-hour shift.
4. Gatwick Division CT Armed Operations Unit
Airport security has tightened up since the terrorist attack on the
WTC and the Pentagon. A prime site for the terrorist, the busy
London’s Gatwick Airport security falls to the Sussex
Police/Gatwick Division Counter-Terrorist Armed Operations Unit.
The AOU is the first line of defense at Gatwick before the SAS
would be summoned to deal with any hostage-rescue or terrorist
bombing scenario.
5. Foreign Legion Paratroopers
The 2nd Regiment of the legendary Foreign Legion falls under the
command of the French Army’s 11th Airborne Brigade. The different
companies are specialized in urban fighting, mountain warfare,

operations.
