1. 9th/12th Royal Lancers
Exercise "Summer Charge" was an FTX at regimental level held by the
9th/12th Royal Lancers (Prince of Wales's) based at Bergen-Hohne,
Germany. During the exercise the unit trained basic skills as well
as close reconnaissance, area reconnaissance, flank protection,
establishing and moving through checkpoints. Tasks were reviewed
during this exercise, with an eye toward future missions. Of
interesting note is the "Desert Scimitar" with add on armour.

The Ulan AIFV is designed to go into battle with the Leopard 2A4
tanks. With the Ulan armoured infantry fighting vehicle, the
Austrian Army received a highly capable fighting machine that uses

growth potential and will remain the AIFV of the Austrian Army for
several decades.
